The Whole Team
From the dogs to the ducks, meet everyone who calls Puddleduck Farms home.
🐕 The Dogs
Marmalade — Golden retriever. Has never met a stranger. Thinks everything is the best thing that has ever happened. Everything.
Freyja — Small black mixed breed. Strictly an inside dog (except for when she swears she wants to go on a walk only to force you to turn around and take her home 10 mins in). Deeply suspicious of the outdoors and fireworks.
🐈 The Cat
Echo — Black, long-haired, with piercing green eyes. Coven leader - the Supreme - WILL put a hex on you. Drinks exclusively from the sink. Loves bananas, but only if you hand-feed them to her.
🦆 The Puddleduck Crew
Ten ducks, and not one lays in the nest consistently - but that just means we get an Easter egg hunt every day.
Six Indian Runners (2 fawn, 2 chocolate, 1 black, 1 blue), two Blue Swedes, and two Appleyards. Throw them some mealworms, and they’ll follow you into battle.
🐓 The Hens & Squeak
Squeak — The rooster. The only one who named himself.
Greg — A black hen. Perpetually broody. Committed to the bit.
Cleo — A fluffy-cheeked Ameraucana with excellent cheekbones and the eyeliner to match.
Jennifer — The butch lesbian of the flock. I wouldn’t challenge her to a bar fight.
The remaining six hens prefer to remain anonymous.
🐐 The Lady Herd
Mama Lulu — The matriarch. Idgie's mom. You can look, but you can only pet her if it’s her idea.
Elsa — Attention-demander. She screams. Constantly.
Ruth (Swiss) & Idgie (Buckskin) — Half sisters with personalities that match their namesakes. Raised from little ones on the farm, and watching them grow has been so fun.
🐐 The Bachelor Pack
Comet & Cupid — The boy goats. Comet (tri-color) will grow to be the herd sire, with his best friend Cupid (who has a bow and arrow marking on his side) as his wingman.
🦎 The Axolotl
Yoti — Aquatic worm-eater with about ½ an electrode rattling around in her noggin.
🚪 Frequent Visitors
Three hens (who we call Batman, The Mob Wife and Freckles) and a cat named Cookie belong to the neighbors — but they really take ‘the grass is greener’ to heart. So much so that they all demand snacks at 7:30am sharp.
Then there's Walter. He wandered down the street one day, became the barn cat for three months, and was only identified when someone finally scanned his tag. Whoops. He went home. A few months later, he came back. Walter does what Walter wants.
The occasional guinea flock and a racing pigeon named Iris have also been known to make an appearance.
